Case study - building operation of transfer, the Philippines and Southeast Asia projects

A private partnership (PPP) Public, as its name indicates, is a project whose participants are members from sectors public and private. Public means the national Government with companies controlled belonging to-and-by the Government (GOCC), while private means simply individuals or private companies. In contrast, programs build operate transfer (BOT) are a type of PPP which deals generally with the civilian infrastructure such as roads, airports, bridges and other facilities.

The first country in Southeast Asia to formally implement a BOT - PPP project is in the Philippines, with the construction of the North diversion road, now known as the motorway of the North of Luzon (by), more than three decades ago. The NLEX connected the capital city, Metropolitan Manila, Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan, a suburb, means high 40 miles long four-lane.

At a time when the Asia South-East has find ways on how to finance the civil infrastructure without debt, the NLEX was hailed as a major administrative-barre oblique-financial miracle. Countries such as the Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, in Malaysia and in Kampuchea (Cambodia) so the Philippines learn how Filipinos to y.

Subsequently, these countries put in place a specific BOT model. In fact, they extended the idea of the participation of the private sector in the development of civilian infrastructure, but in income-generation projects also and social security programs. Indeed, Southeast Asia had learned a lot from the Philippines.

Last years and throughout Southeast Asia has been able to take advantage of this ingenious economic model. However, the adventurer, Philippines, has been left. Its neighbours are perplexed as to how this could have happened. Based on studies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the Philippines arrested simply participate in the major BOT - PPP programs since then.

After much analysis, systemic corruption at all levels of Government was the cause. It was discovered that officials at all levels Gets a piece of public funds that will be used for any project. Every dollar spent, sixty-seven cents went pockets of public officials.

However, this is not the case for the Malaysia and the Thailand in General. With BOT - PPP they could evolve to a point where they have left the Philippines and even some European countries, giant.

Thus, BOT - PPP success strongly depends on the sincerity of the Government in the reform of the effect.

Malaysia education

In Malaysia, our education systems is based on the systems of education in English. Education started from kindergarten up to the high level of education. The first level of education is for children entering kindergarten should be about 4 to 6 years of age. After attending kindergarten, this child will travel to primary school. They will participate in the primary school until they reach the age of 12.

Primary school started the year 1 year 6. Year 1 is when they reach the age of 7 years and 6 year when they reach the age of 12. When they in year 6, that they will travel through a civilian review called "upsr." Suárez Ujian sekolah rendah (UPSR) or in English, we could say the primary school assessment test. After this test session and then they will advance to Middle school.

This school can be separated in two part which is the first part is the lover middle school age 13 to 15 (form 1 to form 3) and the other party is upper middle school age 16-17 (form 4 form 5). Off the coast of form 3 in the end they sit review call PMR (Suárez Menengah Rendah) or in English, we call assessment of middle school lover before that they can continue their studies at the école supérieure. At the end of the school, they will be sitting on the most critical review before that they can further their studies at the University or college. This review call SPM (Sijil Peperiksan Malaysia) or in English we call Malaysian examination certificate. If they do well in this review they will advance to higher level of education such as University or college. If they are not well in the review, there is still a chance for further studies. They can enter lover after that upper and 6 6. At the end of top-six they will sit on a review once more call STPM (Sijil Tinggi Peperiksaan Malaysia) or in English, we call Malaysia higher certificate examination. The STPM is almost the same standard as diploma. If they have a good result that they can continue their studies to take a b.a. from the University.

"PMS" if they want to take a b.a. from the University have two different ways. One is to take a college diploma or the second way is to study first at the end of high school. Registration is the pre-university. They must be and follow courses for two years but not as go to college because College have complete study, 3 years before may enter bachelor courses. But there are Pro a Con when u to end high school if u fail u can return to the u of secondary school have to go to College if u want to your study. Although the College is longest in secondary school, but it is safer than the registration. Registration has not any certificate if u pass the examination that they receive only a slip which show they move from secondary school and may continue their studies. This shift can use to find a job, it is useless if they don't finish their bachelor's degree. But if they go to College, they will receive a diploma then can be used to find employment if they do not want to pursue their studies. It is a bit of information about education in Malaysia.

Malaysia - Destination open for foreign students

There are many countries which offers programs to international students. Countries such as the United States, France, Australia, Spain and many other developed countries do not much effort to attract international students to study at their universities, but apparently, more foreign students decide to register at their.

Other countries are even initiatives to attract and convince international students to enroll in their universities. These countries hope to make the activity an indirect form of boost revenues and tourism figures. Think about it, foreign students are still tourists in their own way. They still have to spend allowances and they relay the beauty that they observe in their host country to the friends and families in their countries of origin.

The Malaysia is one of the countries that aim to convince more students to enroll in their universities. The country promotes the benefit of college degree and masters in its academic institutions. Malaysia openly invites international students to register and study locally.

There are several reasons why studying in Malaysia is attractive for foreign students. The Government of the Malaysia claims that most universities are public, which means the institutions can be considered as research universities. There are also private universities, but the Malaysia ensures that the quality of education offered in public institutions is also good.

Many foreign students enrolling in Malaysia come from the Middle East. As such, it is said that these foreign students see no difference in the culture because being a Muslim country Malaysia is similar in many respects. A third reason is that the country is regarded as a nation without danger to be because there is not much of a terrorist threat.

Ultimately, the study in Malaysia is affordable. Tuition are less expensive and convenient registration fees charged by universities in other countries.

Level of piracy of copyright - it is based on Special 301 report of the International Intellectual Property Alliance, which had been submitted to the US Trade Representative. The Special 301 is a process of annual examination used in the fight against international copyright piracy.

A fourth consideration of the study includes variables concerning the equality of the sexes, the rights of women in the various countries with respect to rights, facilitated and access to the properties view and credit.
