English Course - Online and Free

University of Reading (UOR-British University) has set up a campus in Malaysia. The University is to deliver a free course titled " A Beginner's Guide to English for University Study". This is its second MOOC (Mass Open Online Course) in Malaysia. The delivery will be made through its online learning platform - FutureLearn.

A: Target Audiences: International students with the potential to study in UK.

B: The objectives of the course are:
- create interest among the international students to start a degree in UK or in other English speaking countries.
- Introduction to academic writings, including grammar, essay planning, structure and executions.

C: Methods:
It analyse the academic writing of the university's former students.

The  university UOR in Iskandar, Johor Bharu offers a variety of courses such as Law, Pharmacy, Quantity Surveying, Real Estate and Business and Management.
